💚Year 1 of my elementary principal experience is complete! Today, I had a little bit of time while my daughters napped to sit down and just reflect on this first year. When I finished, I had to take a picture because I KNEW that the smile on my face and the peace in my heart was real, and I wanted to document it for myself as a reminder for when I needed to look back.

📚💡I have been on the hunt to find some new picture books to add to my collection this summer, because I love sharing picture books with teachers AND going into classrooms to read with students in our school. So, I wanted the share them with you when I come across a keeper!

Maybe by Kobi Yamanda has a beautiful storyline about believing in yourself,seeing how important you are to the world, and knowing that you and your strengths/talents matter! The illustrations are beautiful, and this is one that would be great for a beginning of the year read aloud or when students might need a reminder about how awesome they truly are.
